Obliterating indifference

We believe that in today’s super-saturated marketplace a brand has to stand for something meaningful, relevant and motivating to succeed. Indifference is the enemy.

Obliterating indifference

We believe that in today’s super-saturated marketplace a brand has to stand for something meaningful, relevant and motivating to succeed. Indifference is the enemy.

The brands that matter will provoke an emotional response. If you don’t make people care, you won’t earn market share. Trying to be all things to everyone is no longer a viable business strategy. Take a stand for what you believe in and let your audience select itself.

That’s where we come in. We can help you obliterate indifference by discovering and articulating the authentic and compelling story that separates your brand from its competitors. We then amplify this story across every point of contact you have with your audiences.

Our manifesto

Incorporate Design is not just our name – it is our rallying cry. We are on a mission. These are our promises to each other and our clients. If we don’t live up to them, feel free to read us the riot act.

Overcome adversity with ingenuity

We promise to be relentlessly curious, intelligently inventive and resourceful – delivering original thinking and compelling ideas that delight our clients and their audiences. We believe in creating bespoke solutions tailored to each project’s specific requirements. We solve real business problems using effective design thinking and creative craftsmanship.

Make time to be meticulous

We will be thorough and conscientious. We work hard to make sure things are right. We believe that good branding is not just about the glamour of a high-profile application, but that there is a real business advantage to be gained by making sure that the granular detail also exemplifies the brand promise of each client.

Be transparent in business and with others

Honesty and clarity are at the core of everything we do. We accept responsibility for our actions. We tell it like it is and try to keep things simple. Transparency will manifest itself in our detailed and explicit proposals, our straightforward pricing and our desire to conduct all our conversations in a respectfully frank and open manner.

Collaborate enthusiastically

We believe that the best results are born out of a meeting of minds between client and agency. Working together builds the understanding that forms a springboard for more courageous and effective solutions. We aim to create enduring partnerships where we become a trusted part of each client’s team.

Be pragmatic

We never forget that we are working to effect a positive, meaningful and tangible change in the fortunes of each client’s business, brand or campaign initiative. We will always endeavour to achieve the best possible outcome for the project. We don’t do ‘creative prima donna’; we just get it done.

Demonstrate commitment

We love what we do. Because we’re a family firm, both in ownership and outlook, the depth of commitment to each other and our clients goes deeper than most. From supportive client service to inspired creativity, we go above and beyond to make sure we deliver what’s necessary to make a project memorable for everybody involved.

Who we are

Ed Bowes

Managing Director

Work: I have worked in a client-facing role since joining the business in April 2002, helping to forge close relationships with our longest-standing clients and develop new business to ensure everyone is kept busy and the agency continues to grow. I am particularly passionate about client communication and relationship building; genuinely doing everything we can to make our clients’ hectic lives easier. I also enjoy the strategic side of the business and identifying how we can keep improving and learning at all times.

Play: As well as having three young children - aged 5, 8 and 10 - my wife runs her own business (www.keynotesmusic.co.uk), so home life is definitely busy! I love playing or watching most sports, specifically cricket, rugby, horse racing, and golf.

Matt Bowes

Managing Director

Work: Things have changed a fair bit since I joined the business at the beginning of 2002. The rapidly changing world of technology has meant we have more ways of communicating than ever before. The demand from the customer, in particular, has meant there is huge pressure on brands to do this in a consistent and integrated way. However, the challenges for us as a business are still the same, to create lasting relationships and deliver the best value we can to our clients. I have a love for typography and photography in particular (although more from an appreciation point rather than my own personal skill set!) and enjoy nothing more than nailing a tricky brief and delivering simple solutions to complex problems. Hearing from a client that something we’ve worked on for them has had a direct, tangible, positive outcome is what drives me every single day.

Play: Travel, family/friends, and sport take up a large chunk of my time outside of work. However, having two kids under five has meant that priorities have started to shift somewhat!

Play: I love playing or watching most sports, specifically cricket, rugby, horse racing, and golf. But with three young children aged between 3 and 8, they pretty much take up any time away from work!
